Love...

7.75 years ago I met Patrick. 7.5 years ago I feel in love. Love is a bit different now than it was then but never the less it was still love. 4 years ago I married my love. Love has brought us a long way - through 3 different states, through disagreements and bad attitudes, through trials and pains, through joys and laughter and most importantly through the plans God has for us.

It is times like tonight that I feel my appreciation and love for Patrick the most. Times when he leaves the house at 9:30pm to be Christ to some one who calls with trials, times like tonight when both of our plates are completely full with what life throws at us and he makes time for the plans Christ has for his night instead of his own plans. It is times like to night when you can see his true character and desire to be Christ's presents where ever he can.

I love that man! and I love that we can share in the goal of being Christ to this world, even if he does do it better than me. He is a great example for me to follow!

June 16th was our anniversary. During the week leading up to it I received white roses and we went to dinner and a movie.
On our anniversary I fixed my first home made, gluten free, lemon cake with cream cheese icing. Chick here for the recipe. I really do mean it is home made, everything about it was home made. It took me the better part of the day getting it all made, the cake and 3 different types of frostings. It was very good for my first try, however it was a bit dry. I will have to figure something out to make it more moist but other than that it was great!

  1. What an awesome beautiful tribute to your love for him! The love feeling, the Christ Heart of your hubby, understanding what you appreciate about him! That is true love! May, this knowledge and growth continue in many more years of love "towards each other"! This is what marriage love is all about through time! The ups, downs, joys, hardships, walking together holding loving hearts and always being mindful of Christ!
Allison, I know Patrick, your family & friends, see you walk the path with Christ leading you as well! You are a wonderful example to all that you touch and give to!
As your grandmother Shirley, always says, about marriage. May you have adorning eyes for one another. You both do...you and Patrick are on the right track, for a Christian marriage! Keep putting forth, your marriage will stay strong! Love, TN MOM
