Colorado Springs Trip...

This past weekend Patrick and I drove the 5 hours up to Colorado Springs to visit some friends for about 24 hours. We had gotten an invitation to attend a surprise baby shower for my friend Mary.

So we drove up on Friday night and went to dinner and baby shower shopping with my friends Marie and Brad and then spent the night at their house. It was good to get to catch up and see them!

On Saturday afternoon we attended the shower that ended up not being a surprise. To bad I didn't know because I would have gotten to spend more time with Mary that weekend. Instead I was worried that she would see me when we were away from Marie's house, and I would ruin the shower surprise.

While we were there everyone got to find out if the baby is a girl or a boy. Mary had given her ultrasound pictures to one of her friends with out looking at them so that it would be a surprise. Her friend Chrissy made cup cakes revealing the gender. The above picture is of then finding out that they are having a girl! I got two pictures of this and in one of them I caught Mary being excited and in the other I caught John being excited, to bad I didn't catch them both in the same picture.

We had dinner together and then the presents were opened! I think Mary was excited about everything she got! Marie, my Mom, Mrs. Keeton and I all went in together and filled the green tote above with goodies. 

I'm glad I got to go and be a part of this special event for Mary. It turns out some of John's family got to come and visit during that time also, which I know made it extra special.
